Geddy Lee, Neil Peart and Alex Lifeson, from left — RushTickets available for big rock bashHOUSTON — Tickets are still on sale for the “Texxas World Music Festival,” to begin at 3 p.m. Friday in the Astrodome Tickets are available locally through Ticketron outlets in Beaumont and Orange.Astrodome gates open at noon, and guitarist Gary Moore will open the show at 3 p.m. Bryan Adams is expected to be onstage at 4:05 p.m.; Ozzy Osbourne is scheduled for 5:35 p.m.; .38 Special is slated for 7:30 p.m and Rush will close the show, arouna 9.30 p.m,Guns, knives, weapons of any sort, food, beverages, containers of any kind, signs, banners umbrellas, motion picture cameras or recording devices of any kind will not be permitted in the Astrodome All con-cert-goers will be searched before entering the arena Any person who refuses to be searched will receive a refund at the box office.Stadium doors open at noon for all floor ticket holders; doors open at l p.m. for reserved-seat ticket holders All floor ticket holders must enter through Gates 3 and 4 Others will be turned away All reserved-seat ticket holders must enter through Gates 5, 6, 11 and 12The show by Rush has been anticipated by many fans, because it will be their only appearance in Texas this year. The group’s show utilizes a multi-media presentation. Fifteen semis will be loaded with enough state-of the-art equipment to fill a stage measuring over 6,000 square feet — the largest stage ever assembled for such an event.The show will use a 50-foot-high tower sound system, and three massive video screens, each measuring 20 feet by 40 feet. An argon light laser system will provide light showeffects.
