\ct I.Scene I. Tin* Norton mansion. Paulino 'h expulsion.Scene Pauline is robbed by a street singer. Tom Fincher is touched by her pitiful story and befriends her.Act II.Scene I Five years have elapsedand Paulino lias become a celebrated artist, under the name of Dolores.Scene 2.—Augusta engages Dolores to paint her mother’s picture. Pauline. the Dolores of their admiration, is restored to them. Great rejoicing.During the play three musical numbers were given, the first a fine selection by the juvenile orchestra, the second a two piano duet by Miss A. Wurzburg and L. Jardine, and the last an action song. “The Skidmore Guards,” given by about 40 boys clad in overalls, dress coats and high hats, with immense yellow ties.After the play tin* first number was a vocal solo, “The Sjng that Reached my Heart,” finely sung by Miss J. Hormutb. Then came a fine pantomime, “Lead Kindly Light,” by twelve girls attired 111 white.The valedictory, “Out of the Harbor into the Deep” was a very fine number, given by Miss Anna Needham. She s]H)ke feelingly of the work 111 the schools,of what it had meant to the class of 15102, of their feelings at leasing the school and their desires for its success. She spoke of the deep upon which the present class are about to set sail, and bade the members of the school and the teachers an affecting farewellRev. H. P. Maus gave the commencement addresss. When he arose he was greeted with a storm o»' applause, and the audience who expected something fine were not disappointed. He spoke of the start that the class are about to make in the world,and gave much helpful thought and suggestion to those who have completed the work of the school as well as those who are still in school. He imj ressed the truth that the world 1 helps those who help themselves, and that if one wants to succeed, one | thing should be followed and made a specialty. “The man who knows how to do everything, who is a jack of all trades, is good for nothing. He too good. Know how to do one t ling and fo it jest righr, ” said the speaker. He urged the supreme importance of honesty for success in any line of work.Following this excellent address. Rev. Fr. Bauer, in a few well chosen words that were much appreciated, presented the diplomas and gold medals to the graduates. Miss Anna Needham and Miss Antoinette Wurzburg.The musical performers in the program were. A Wurzburg, 15. Girard, L Jardine. H Noud, L. Fountain, L. Gagne, Z. Wieland, P Thacker, AHuellmantel, M Barry, M Lafayette. 1 Moblo, P Miller, E. Bartak, F Rattenbury.The class colors were silver and blue; the class motto. “Our of the Harbor Into the Deep;” and the class flower, the Lily of the Valley.
