Frank Anderson WilliamsonOffiVows PledgedAt Cedar GroveIn a double ring ceremony Sunday afternoon in Cedar Grove Baptist Church, Miss Jennifer Lou Williamson and Frank Anderson Williamson were married. Officiating minister was the Rev. Eldridge Narron.Mr. and Mrs. Urah T. Williamson of Rt. 2, Wilson are the bride’s Darents. Theparents, bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John B. Williamson of Rt. 1, Lucama.Wedding music was presented by Miss Sue Ellen Williamson, organist.Given in marriage by her father, the bride was wearing aof white silk organzawith Victoriangownfashioned neckline, long Bishop sleeves and a modified waist. VeniseAnother old timey use for the flour of mustard or dry mustard was as a poultice to relieve chest congestion in adults and older children — never infants.They were made of one part mustard to four parts linseedmeal.Mix mustard with warm water n one vessel.Mix linseed oil in another /essell with boiling water and hen add to mustard mixture.Spread on linen and apply for 3 r 4 hours checking at intervals or redness — if redness occurs, liscontinue for a while or place a hin piece of muslin between ikin and poultice.Miss ParkerIs GraduatedRICHMOND, Va. — Miss Sarah Helen Parker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Parker, Elm City, N.C. was graduated from St. Catherine’s School, ontheSunday, June 3.The Rev. Fletcher Lowe, Jr.,Rector of the Church ofHoly Comfort-Richmond,theer,Va.,waslace interwoven with satin ribbon accented the bodice. The slightly gathered skirt extended into an attached chapel train. Venise lace bordered the hemline of the skirt and train.Her waist-length veil was attached to a headpiece of lace and pearls. She carried a bouquet of pink sweetheart roses, white carnations and pompons.Mr. Williamson was his son’sbest man.Ushers were Urah T. Williamson Jr. of Wilson, brother of the bride; and John B. Williamson Jr. of Rt. 3, Kenly, brother of the bridegroom.Following the ceremony a reception was held in the home of the bride’s parents. Hosts and hostesses were parents of the bridal couple.Covered with a white lacecloth over a gold cloth, the serving table was centered with an arrangement of asters, mums and gladioli in shades of yellow and white, flanked by burning yellow tapers. Punch was poured by Mrs. Kernie Watson, aunt of the bride. Mrs. Bob Gant, aunt of the bridegroom, served cake. Nuts, mints, chicken salad in pattie shells and cheese straws were served buffet style.Assisting in serving were Mrs. Aaren Williamson, Mrs. Johnnie Williamson, Mrs. Larry Fulghum and Miss Janet Gant.Presiding at the register was Miss Patsy Boyette, cousin of the bridegroom.
