Patriotic Day, July 3The Fourth of July falls on Sunday, hence the term Patriotic Day for Saturday July 3. This day will be everybody\s day and a big day of amusement will be provided by thegeneral committe. There will be shows, free attractions, a balloon ascension and an abundant display of patriotic fire works at night.;* * *The Commercial club and its officers and all business men will take a leading part in making the week’s reunion a success. Every citizen is expected to do his part.Every yard and every home should be put in perfect order for that week, at least.Let the decorations be profuse and no better colors could be suggested to the committee than red, white and blue. Unfurl “old glory” from every flag staff, window and housetop.The finance committee needs your support and it will require a large expenditure to meet all the obligations of the week. There will beMshows, bands of music, races, contests, fireworks, speakers and anendless lot of amusements. The finance committe is F. R. Vanmeter,chairman and treasurer, Harve Greene, John R. Uland, O. F. Her-old and E. E. Neal.The fireworks committee will beP. J. Harrah, W. S. Bogy and Lee H. Jones.The general committee, W. S. Bogy, Al Williams and F. R. Vanmeter, will have charge of the amusements.The advertising committee is H. W. Moore, of the Democrat, and Will B. Maddock, of the Nbws.Everybody far and near, in Greene county and out in the world, are invited to come home that week, June 27 to July 3, and visit your favorite people and favorite places throughout the county, and attend the “bigdoings” every day at Bloomfield.
