C. Scbmeltt, manager of the Bloomer Girls, came here Saturday and conferred with Richard F. Simmons, manager of the High School team. That afternoon Manager Sim-' mons announced that a game had been scheduled with the girls for June 10.The question is win the local Cadets make their usual good showing on the diamond when they are matched against the weaker sex?The Bloomer Girls team carries IS players. Of this number 13 are pretty girls, ranging front 17 to 21 years of age. The remaining three players are men, one catcher and two pitchers. This does not mean that the girls do not have a pitcher, for they have and she is reported to be the only left-handed woman pitcher in the world. More than that, she will very likely pitch against the Cadets on c June 10.Manager Schmaltz announced on Saturday that the girls will piay in the regulation uniform.The Bloomer Girls team is composed of young ladies who have come from as far west as Wisconsin and as far north as Xev; York Stale. The best talent has been secured for the t*»am with tiir result that they are tv i nners.During the winter the team has been scheduled to play in Texas, Mexico. Cuba and the Phillijmie Islands. On June 11 the team will play in Hagerstown,Season tickets for the High School games will not b** good for this game, as the regular schedule of the team lias been played.
