“All Messed Up”: IPG), with Luigi l)i-horti and Lina Polito, directed by Lina Wcrtmuller, Italian with English subtitles, at the Catttclview theater.By MIKE PETRYNI After films like “Love and Anarchy, “Swept Away . . and “Seven Beauties, Lina Werimut-ler probably considers a film like All Messed Upas a sort of comic relief*in her career, a sort of paring of the s t a r k demons that dominate her othei* films.sometimes haunt worse then those of tragedy.“All Messed Up haunts with a hideous grin.The film’s story, whichMiss Wcrtmuller both wrote and directed, centers on a group of commune members who live in an old tenement amid the towering, glass-walled skyscrapers of modern Milan. The commime members are like an innocent blemish that modern urban society has yet to wipe out with its dull, oppressive cosmetology.Miss Wcrtmuller follows (he characters through their lives picking at their errant hopes and dreams,debt (o Federico Fellini, with whom she studied for years, in the deltcalc way she reveals the sorrows Ihese people caught in theurban grind.
