Just $34,995 ShortOf Owning A RanchCrystal Falls—Tuesday afternoon the Triangle Ranch was sold at auction at the courthouse. Nestor Hill, of Amasa, present at the sale, boldly ventured a bid of five dollars for the . property. After a lengthy pause ( which rapidly excited Nestor, a sec- j ond Amasa man, Markley LaPointe, ] shattered the first bidder's hopes of ] owning the 10.000 acre tract by bid- ( ding twenty-five dollars for the pro- f perty. •cA ray of superiority beamed from a Markley’s countenance as he saw Nestor crumple under the realization ] that he was no longer considered as \ a prospective owner of the great f ranch. Nestor’s hopes too, were soon shat- 1 tered. for the next bidder, the Federal i Land Bank, offered $35,000 for the f property and the auction closed.
