Seems lhai while the Zanuck-Brown picture was shooting in Edgartown, Mass., the troupe was asked to make up a team for a charity baseball game. The “Jaws” team did all right against the Edgartown locals —but lost the game because of ihc competition's pitching power.Pitching for the .competition was Jaws” star Roy Scheider — who subsequently was made an honorary citizen by the mayor of Edgartown. The mayor must have known that ScheiderJersey high school days, lie had considered offers to play the game professionally instead of concentrating on acting.
