THE SOCIAL WOULD.A BBACTTFUL EKTKRT a rsara-yp,“LlCcMeld,” the lovely home of Dr. Charles Goldsborough, Wlkersville, was a brilliant scene last night with the varicolored lights that shone from, the numerous Chinese lanterns that adorned the magnificent lawn surrounding the residence. The occasion was another one of those long-to he remembered evenings that Dr. Goldsborough’s charming daughter, Miss Katie, had invited her numerous friends to enjoy. A. large dancing platform was erected immediately in front of the house and the lawn had quite a number of hammocks ^nd convenient seats where couples could indulge In a quiet tete a tete. Rhodes1 orchestra furnished the music and. by the time “Home Sweet Home” was wafted upon the morning air and all had left the enchanting scene old sol was threaghtening to make Ms appearance. There were quite a number cf guests from a distance, among those present being Misses Ritchie, Etmkei, Rogers, Goldsboroogh, Potts, McSherry, Johnson, GambriD, Mr. and Mrs. Mlsdorff, Mr. and Mrs. |Wihard Keller, Frederick; Miss Kensett, Misses Williams, Miss Montague, of Baltimore; Miss Reese, of htew York; Miss Weaver, Martin sbuxg: Miss Trail, Elk ton; Miss Woodward, Richmond; Mrs. Gaither, Mrs. Liggett, Mrs. Stone, Mr. and Mrs. Johnson and Messrs.
