Shon Parker and Mr. Sonny Anderson; leader.☆ it ☆ ☆ ☆The Howard County 4-H Shooting Club fared well at a recent meet in Marble Falls.Dean Hodnett took firsts in the senior division with wins in the skeet and two man skeet along with Darrell Hodnett.At Borden County Dean Hodnett won firsts in the trap and two- man trap with Darrell Hodnett.Shon Parker won the senior skeet and teamed with Todd McKinney to win the two-man skeet competition. Other first place finishers were Amanda Anderson and Darrell Spears in the sub junior two-man skeet and Anderson in skeet.At Odessa Kelly Rogers won the senior trap, skeet and teamed with Dean Hodnett, Greg Parish, Parker and Todd Mckinney to win the five-man skeet and trap.In the junior division Kerry Fryar and Greg Newton took first in the two-man trap.Howard county will compete in the Martin County Shoot July 27, Midland County Shoot July 28 and State Shoot in San Antonio August 9-11.☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆For you fans out there that would like to meet some Olympic medal winners your chance will come August 16 in Dallas.Three chartered DC-8’s carrying U.S. medalists from both winter and summer games will arrive at Dallas-Ft. Worth Airport Thursday evening as part of an unprecedented National Tribute tour which will take the Olympic heroes to four major cities after closing ceremonies on Sunday, August 12.Their first Dallas appearance will be as guests of the Dallas Cowboys at the nationally televised pre-season football game with the Pittsburgh Steelers.☆ ☆ ☆ ☆If any of you want to see some nifty softball drop by Steer baseball diamond this Sunday at 2 p.m. to watch the Rainbow Project Board members take on the KOSA Bloop Singles.Admission to this exciting event is free, donations to help the Rainbow Project will be accepted.
