The outing which is an annual af-fair was given under the auspices of the i Chinese Merchants’ Association, Moy Dow was in charge of the outing as-j sisted by Yee Wah Fook, Men June. Tee I Wah Jr, Sam Wahn, Sow Hoo Wing, ; Johnny Smart and Low Lee Far.The Chinese band was on the Job all ! day. Many of the wives of the mem-j bers were present with their children, who were dressed in the colors of China. The children had a great time, riling on tiie Merry-Go-Round. The committee arranged a “funny show” for the children and the clowns kept the, little ones laughing. The boats on the lake were going all day and hundreds went in swimming. Several of the men took their rods and spent most of the day fishing.There were a number of games arranged for the boys and a iris and prizes given to the winners. Among t;*e guests were Ex-Lieut Gov Edward P. Barry, counsel for the Poston Chinese; John Holland and Mrs Carpenter, a missionary of Worcester. A big dinner was served and there were remarks by Hon Edward P. Barry, John E. Smart, Organizer Moy Dow and Yee Wah Fool;. Many Boston people who have carops on Lake Pearl came up to the grove and “mixed in.” Everything possible was done for the comfort of the visiting delegations from Providence. Franklin and Woonsocket, and the picnic was voted the best yet conducted by the association.Moy Dow. ■Charlie Chinn and Yee Wah Fook were in charge of the different committees.
