Zeke’s hold family reunionThere was a Zeke family reunion on Saturday, July 8 which was held at Oak Point where George and Lena Hildebrandt (Zeke) together with Gerald, Debbie, and Chad were proud to take part in this most enjoyable celebration. There were approximately 200 relatives on hand coming from the U.S.A. and Canada.Congratulations to Clifford and Brenda Kirschman (Smith) who were married in Warren United Church on Saturday, July 15. There reception was held in the Meadow Lea Hall and the newlyweds will reside in Winnipeg. The bride’s brother, Brian with Dahinda and Brandon of Moose Jaw were home for this occasion.Visiting with Bud and Deidre Smith and other family members in our area also attended the above wedding were Art and Verna Hainsworth of Leslieville, Alta.Home from a holiday to the west coast are Bruce, Audrey,Don, Bev, Myles and Wayne MacMillan. They attended the McFee wedding in Prince Albert, then on to enjoy Banff and Jasper.Jim and Shirley Seggie and children are home for a holiday from Calgary to visit Jim and Betty Sorenson and their family.We say hello and get well soon to Nancy Smegal who is a patient at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg.Sunday, July 16 at Meadow Lea United Church, which was filled to capacity we witnessed the infant baptism of cousinsJasmine Andrea, daughter of Garrel and Eva Prior (Brunger), also Rianna Marie BrungerRadocchia, daughter of Louis ;and Karen of Toronto. Godparents of Rianna were Fern Brunger, Montreal and ToniRadocchia, Toronto. On hand to witness this event were proud grandparents Ernie and Elsie Naf, Woodlands; Bart and Linda Prior, Marquette; Marie Radocchia, Toronto; great grandmother, Marjorie King of Warren. Assisting Rev. Pat Wotton were elders, the two granddads, Bart and Ernie. Identical gowns worn by Jasmine and Rianna were made by grandma Naf. Special music for this service was provided by Darryl and Fern Brunger, violin and organ respectively. Following the service a sumptuous luncheon was enjoyed by 50 relatives and friends and the home of Grandpa and Grandma Naf. Out-of-province guests and home for a holiday were Fern Brunger, Montreal; Marie Radocchia and son Toni, Toronto. For our Sunday service at Meadow Lea United we were so very pleased to welcome home Tom and Marion Robertson of Winnipeg, city living agrees with these folks and they are looking great.
