FEAR OF RIOTCaused All Negroes to be Fired FromWallace Shows.» .Monday’s Dailv.Three negroes arrived in the city to. day and upon being questioned by Captain of Police Gates stated that.they had been traveling -with the Wallace circus. They said that owing to fears of a riot if negroes were taken into' Linton, the circus trains were stopped at Swiss City and all negro employes of the company were compelled to leave. iThey also said that the Wallace circus had ona wagon which did not bear the painff rs’ union label and that this wagon would not he taken into theparade for fear that it would, be de- jmolished by Linton men. t ILinton is the most thoroughly unionized town in Indiana, and no negroesare permitted to enter the place.
