%OklahomaV Gallops Off on“Oklahoma!/’ the Quad • City Music Guild’s mid-season show' and 27th production, opens at 8 tonight at Prospect Park auditorium.The box office at the park will have 400 general admission tickets lt;$1.25) ready at 6:45 with members of the Moline Y’s Men club and the MoLne-Easfc Moline Association of Insurers alternating as gate salesmen during the 4-evening run of the Rodgers and Hammers tein musical. The show closes Sunday night.Robert H. Sward, show director, Is assisted by Richard Baber and, making up one of the guild’s many husband - and - wife teams, the music director anc assistant music director are Richard A. Anderson and his wife, Stephanie.Colorful Setsberty, Li? Brown, Judy Munn, George Waffle and Shirley Harding.Costuming is being provided as usual by Barnes Costume Co. of Davenport under the direction of Erna Barnes Kautz.Stage manager Is James E. Wahrer. He and Ernest H* Mann are assistant production co-ordinators, working with Alfred G. Waffle. The stage crew includes: Mel Johnson, A. G. Anderson, Norton Pierce, Roy Condon, Dick Pierce, Ron Butler, E r n e s t Mann, Albert Rounds, John Thomas, John Bakerig, Tom Tracy, Arthur Cook, Tom Gustafson, John Gustafson and Doris Balzar.Guild productions from the beginning have won acclaim for the triginality and beauty of their tage settings. Carrying on this radition in “Oklahoma!/’ the sets lave been designed by Calvin Sterling and have been translated into colorful ranch scenes by Warren Town assisted by Pat Fla-Master electrician Robert Clev-enstine, make-up director, has as Ai Kaeder on his staff. Mrs. Clev-entine, make-up director, ha$ as her assistants Barbara Worrell, Ruth Fitzgerald, Millie Elston and Norma Pieper.Another band of unsung heroes” in this mid summer musical is the property committee headed by Mr. and Mrs. Dudley West and including Marilyn Palmer, Betty Johnson, Pat Flaherty, LyndaStein, Barbara Jamieson, Sandy Smith and Art Krarie.The pins - and - needles staff, working under the direction of wardrobe mistress Mrs, Al Waffle is made up of Mrs. James E. Wahrer, Mrs. B, L. Barclay, Linda Higdon, Carol Barnard, Ruth McHenry- and uess Barnes.Still another vitally important back-of-the-scenes worker is show prompter Ruth Ann Hoogerwerf who served in the same capacity during “Show Boat/’OrchestraThe 24-piece guild orchestra, manager of which is Otto C.
