WALLACE PASSES THROUGH.The great Wallace shows passed through here about 6:30 Tuesday morning on the I. S. bound for Linton. The long train stopped at the station for several minutes and it was thought by some that the negroes carried with the show would be unloaded before proceeding to Linton, as negroes are not permitted there. Nothing, however, was seen of the darkies during the day, so it is supposed that they were either taken to Linton or were left behind before the train reached Sullivan. The feeling against the colored man is very bitter in the neighboring town of Linton and it is probable that the colored people were sent over another route to join the circus after leaving Linton.
