Wallace Show at Linton.Wallace's show exhibited at Linton Monday to a large crowd. Ab a business proposition for fear that the presence of his sixty negroes would greatly lessen fits door receipts,Mr. Wallace left them at Swltz City. At night after he had gotten the people's money the negroes w£re brought into Linton and they assisted in tearing down the tents and packing up for Effingham, Illinois. Governor Durbin, remembering the disgraceful proceedings at the Elks’ banquet, kept the TerreHaute militia in readiness all day to respond to a riot call at Linton. A few Bloomfield people attended.
