“HOBOS” AT EGGEMANNSThe beautiful country home of Mr. and Mrs. Theo. Eggeman south of town was the scene of a merry gathering last Sunday afternoon when the % members of the Hobo Coterie with'( their families held their annual picnic-feast. The worth of this club as a factor in the social life of the community is recognized by all, and this event is always looked forward to with pleasurable anticipation by those fortunate enough to have their names on its roll of membership.Ample preparation had been made for the comfort and pleasure of the members and the spacious lawn at the Eggeman home with its great spreading trees looked inviting and presented a pretty scene as the guests, young and old contributed each their part to the enjoyment as though drilled for the occasion. An address of welcome by Albert Eggeman, responded to by Henry Rebber, president of the club, a recitation by Irma Eggeman and solo by the Head of the house entitled “Kobody knows how dry 1 am” was sung in his realistic way, and to such good advantage that the entire gathering was deported mentally from what seemed like the promised land overflow'ing with extra. ^pale milky and honey to the great lQ] desert of Sahara miles from an oasis.The initiation of Messrs Tom Finan I ] and Theodore Rehrmann into the gu mysteries of Iloboism completed the j w€ formal part of the program. Games of various kinds were enjoyed and atable loaded down with almost every vis thing that is good in the edible line, dabesides refreshments of various kinds contributed greatly to the enjoyment.The time passed all too quickly and 1 go when the hour came for returning | home they all did so reluctantly but were somewhat appeased by an in-Suvitation from Mai Kamp to play a play a return engagement at his place 1some time this summer.
