Mostly, almost entirely, they are followers; the empty slogans they repeat endlessly show that few among them give any original thought to their holy causes. And they are extremely impressionable. Scheduling Dr. Leary’s show gives a certain amount of sanction to it, unintentional though it may be; it is abettinghim as he contributes to the delinquency of those whomsociety should protect.Churches, veterans’ groups, newspapers all objected to the proposed appearance.
