OPEN-AIR SERVICESWELL ATTENDEDA pleasant and helpful union religious service was . held at Forest Mills- picnic grounds Sunday afternoon. The Churches participating were Forest Mills and Bethel and the Presbyterian churches of Frankville, Rossville, Waukon and Postville. The pastors of all the churches were present and Rev. J. E..Healey of Hazel-lon was a visitor. Addresses weie made bv Rev. C. W. Harris, Rev. J. C. B. Peck and Dr. R. L. Van Nice. Rev. R. F. Galloway presided and Mr. A. L. Meier led the singing assisted bv a voluntary choir. The audience responded especially well m The Old Time Religion” and one of the highest points of.the service was reachedwhen, at the request of the chairman, Mrs. Otto Wei per of the Forest Mills church sang, as a solo, the verse, “Makes me love everybody. Aftei Rev. Paul Krebbs had pronounced the benediction there were many such expressions as, “Let’s do it every^yeai, “We ought to meet again this tall,and Mr. George Waters reminded one of the Apostle Peter’s remark to his Lord 011 the Mount of Transfiguration when he said, “Let’s take up a collection and build a platform and meethere often.”
