Log House Receives 66Memories Quilt”Vernon and Beatrice Ehnes stopped in at the Log House last week to donate a quilt that dates back to 1924. Vernon’s father, Gordon, won the quilt at a local hall in 1924 and it has been in the family ever since. The quilt is a special piece of local history with each of the squares containing the embroidered names of the members of a different family living in the Mowbray, 1-6, Snowflake, or Kaleida areas at the time. Vernon has transcribed the names in a notebook which he has left with the quilt.
