mIpowlt;The parade of talent at the Para-dise Club in Idle wild continues with the current appearance of Lavem Baker and with the future booking of several more top names in the entertainment field.Lavem Baker is one of the top recording stars, having made sev-eral million-seller recordings in- ^ eluding the famed “Tweedle-Dee-Dee.” Until recently she was con- ^ sidered primarily a rhythm and | blues singer but now she has branched out into doing standardsand jazz. DAlso appearing with Miss Baker, ye who will be starred through next jjj Thursday, is an all-star revue featuring a comedy team “Butter-beans and Susie,'* and a tap-danc- p( ing team called appropriately enough, “The Three Leggers . . . ” appropriately because one of the ^pair has only one leg. The bill also features a new singer from Detroit, Thearon Hill, and music by Choker Campbell’s new band which plays for both the show and for daneing.
