HEAVIESTYEARRECORDEDThe heaviest precipitation recorded during the year 1943 in the Laredo distnct was that for the 24 hours ending at 7:30 o’clock Tuesday morning, when the rainfall for Laredo was given as 1.50 inch one and one-half inches. Augur, commander of the 56th Cavalry Brigade; Lieut. Col. W. D. Hanson, commander of the Laredo Army Air Field; Col. John Dunlap, executive officer of the 56th Brigade and Col. Bertram Frankenbergcr, commander of Fort McIntosh.A number of officers and enlisted men stationed here who are former Legionnaires are also expected to be present. A large turnout of Legion members is expected as Commander Scherr closes his year and a new one is inaugurated.Refreshments will be served. Legionnaires from HebbronviUe, Bruni, Mirando City and other surrounding points are urged to be present also.
