One of the most enjoyable affairs ot the week was the entertainment givenbv Mrs. A. J. Wernette on Thursdayafternoon at Iter new home at 21 f Lotus avenue in honor of the Home Sew ing circle, and a few invited friends. Delicious refreshments, consisting of home made tamales* chile gravy, soda water, lemonade and different kinds of cake were served 011 a nicely decorated taide out on the lawn.Those present were Mrs. Theo Artzt, Mrs. Annie Witte, Mrs. J. llehn, Mrs. Iloffaker, Mrs. A. Klabunde, Mrs. J. Lessing, Mrs. Martin Rakowitz, Mrs. A. Muser, Mrs. Annie Nass, Mrs. Ed. Gutzeit, Mrs. H. Uugman, Mrs. A. L Wernette, Miss Emelie Witte, Miss Elizabeth Witte, Miss Elizabeth Lessing. Miss Irene and Marguerite Hug man. Miss Thelka Klabunde, Miss Cecil Rakowitz, Miss Lottie Wernette. Music and songs were rendered by Miss Elizabeth Lessing, Misses Irene and Marguerite Hugman, Miss Emeho Witte and Miss Lit tie Wernette.
