BOSMA* . • •hile residents anxiously await the arrival of the Ogopogo crew, another movie - A Cemetery Love Story -was filmed in Lac du Bonnet last week. •The crew began shooting early last week and finished up over the weekend.“We chose Lae du Bonnet because Of of its rolling hills and transmission lines, said Lac du Bonnet native producer/director John Barnard, pointing to the Hydro lines up above.“The movie deals with a lot ofobscure backwoods areas v and*:? power lines, so a lot of it was shot on back roads and dilapidated farm roads, said co-producer Kyle Bournais, who has a film degree from the University of Manitoba and did some training in Vancouver.Bodrnais said their 17-person crew - which includes camera people, sound, an assistant director, make-up, production designer, special effects person, grip, dolly grip, and more - spent the majority of its time shooting .in different locations in and around Lac du Bonnet last week, .“I just.got back from a shoot atLac du BonnetAsalatent director Jason Heke substitutes as a stunt double - as Intrepid reporter Amanda Bosma rides shotgun.a house in Lac du Bonnetsaid Bournais, who added that the crew used the homeowner’siswimming pool to shoot under water shots all afternoon.“I’m completely waterlogged, laughed Bournais, who also does a lot of the camera work.Bournais said the movie -which is being shpt on digital cameras - is;.essentially a tragiclove story about two widows who meet at the cemetery,;The movie Stars three actresses and one actor, ail from WinnipegSee “Movie page 3
