They will returnMonday from the trip. ■Mrs. Robert Luts and two daughters remained at the bedside of Mr. Lutz's mother in Lafayette for the remainder of this week. Thesenior Mrs. Lutz having submittedto an operation lately, Mr. Lutzand daughter, Betty, returned home on Tuesday after having enjoyed the Fourth there.The Harry Claussen family left by auto and trailer Friday morning for a motor trip around Lake Michigan, making brief stops of most interesting points for the boys to fish. They will return after a week's vacation.Wednesday evening, Dr. and Mrs. D. E. Grey entertained Mrs. Grey's cousin, Mrs. Tom Van Si avers of Log Angeles, Gal., who is visiting her mother at Valparaiso. Other guests for dinner that evening were Mrs. Grey’s mother, Mrs. S. E.Co Urns; her aunt, Mrs. Maude Sinclair, and Mrs, Gordon Wheeler, allOn Wednesday, little Laverne Smith had an afternoon party for her friends, Mary Ann Cotttngham* Nancy Sutton and Gloria and Patricia Neises and her cousins, Janet Rae and Mary Edna Smith, to come for a little party in honor of her house guest this week, Miss Phyllis Van Veld of Hammond. Miss Van Veld is the daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Tunis Van Veld, who were former Crown Point residents. Thegirls enjoyed the afternoon ingames and a tea party,rbaEsI*gEatvlit:ej of Valparaiso.Sunday evening Mr. and Mrs.Manford Pattee will be host and hostess to their regular Friday night contract club at a dinner party. Mr. and Mrs. John Rohr-back and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Brown will share the dinner at seven and the contract games later with the following club membership: Messrs and Mesdames Lowell Held, Walter Mubeeks, D. E.
