Funeral services for Staff Sgt. Richard K. Johnson, 46, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday f in the Cariaon Funeral Home, with the Rev. Walter A. Olson officiating. Burial will be inForest Home Cemetery.Friends may call at the Carlson Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Thursday and on Friday until time of services.Bom Oct. 8, 1923, inRhinelander, Sgt. Johnson died Saturday in Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D. C., following a short illness. He was a graduate of Rhinelander High School with the Class of 1941, and worked for the Rhinelander Paper Co. a short time before entering theUnited State Army.He saw action in most European campaigns in World War II and after the war returned to Rhinelander, where he again worked for the Rhinelander Paper Co. for a time. He re-enlisted in the service, the second time withthe United States Air Force. During his 21 years of service . he served in many United States posts, as well as in * Algiers and Germany.He is survived by two ■ daughters, Denise and Carla; his mother, Mrs. Helga Johnson of Rhinelander; three brothers, Alvin of Rhinelander, Floyd of Sussex and Robert of Amarillo, Tex.His father, a brother and two sisters preceded him in death.
