Iowa will have a population of three hundred less than it had last week when Governor Cummins signs the deed for the famous Tama Indian reservation, transferring’ title of the property from the state to the federal government./ The title to the land, ^hile vested in the Indians, has been held in the name of the state. The department of Indian affairs, however, has maintained an agency and issued ammities for a great many years to the Mus-qimkies, who inhabit the tract of several hundred acres in Tama county. However, the title was never transferred to the Koverainent.
