n. mason ix i^o., inuianapoiis.John Cain was in Linton Monday when a mob threatened: to wreck the Red Men’s Hall if the negroes who had been brought to the city to serve as waiters at a banquet, were not immediately sent from the city. The negroes were taken out of town immediately and had trouble averted. Mr. Cain said said that the city was in' complete control of the mob of about 1500 or 2000 men and boys..
