The prize offered by M. LewEnyart to the best singing class., was awarded to the M. E. class at this place, and consisted of the following members: Miss Metta Belt, Miss Allie Clendening, Miss Carrie Lavaw and Miss Laura Waite, soprano; Miss Julia Shackelford and Miss Dora Fellers, alto; A. M. Arnold and Stella' Powell, tenor; S. B. Abbott, Albert Hall, S*. T. Waite and T. C. Powell, bass. The other class from the Christian church also did some excellent singing. The judges appointed to decide as to the best singing were Albert Deeds, of Deedsville; T. A. Clemans, of Birmingham, and T. G. Horton, of Macy.
