LOGMSPOBT.SATURDAY:::::::.;::::.:JULY 9 1842For the Telegraph.CELEBRATION.a*The inhabitants, of all parties, and both *exes, united with the Grammer and Sabbath School Scholars, to celebrate the 4th of July, in Noble township. A good dinner was prepared by the citizens, and a table spread in a pleasant grove, opposite to the school house,Upon the land of Henry Weirrlck; between_ _ _ _ \Robert McMillens, and Thompson Barnets. A large and respectable company from Jefferson township came in by invitation, and joined the celebration. The youth and scholars formed a procession at 9 o’clock A.M. in front of the school house; thirteen young Ladies. from each township were selected, and iheirteacher gave twenty six Banners, to twenty six young Gentlemen, which were presented, with some remarks, to ths Ladies. The procesrion moved in various orders of march, attended by a splendid band of music, to Hen-✓ry Thomas’ spring, and were refreshed by drinking cold water, they then returned, and marched in order, to the foot of the table, and planted the national flag, and were seated with their faces from the table. The occasion was opened with prayer. Alanson Crocker, read the Declaration of Independence. The Reverend Mr. Buckingham, then delivered an interesting address, without premeditation, on the occasion, after which, dinner was taken, by about 400 men women and children. The procession was 3gain formed.— The Rev. M. M. Post, arrived and again addressed the assembly, upon the importance of the day, Education and Sabbath Schools and closed with Benediction.
