Latin-American NewsOscar Cabra and his well-known orchestra entertained with a tea dance Friday evening at Solis Hall.Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Valverde entertained Wednesday evening with a delightful tea party, honoring their daughter, Petra, on her birthday. Presiding at the tea table, which was decorated with a centerpiece of bluebells and spring flowers, were Misses Elida Leal, Amelia Cisneros and Eva Valverde.Mr. and Mrs. Rosendo Arce have announced the approaching marriage of their daughter. Rosabel, to Armando Salazar, son of the late Demetrio Salazar and Mrs. Chenita Salazar.Miss Maria de la Rosa, who had an eye operation Monday, is well on the road to recovery.The home of Mr. and Mrs. Eliseo Martinez was the scene of a very gay birthday party given in honor of Miss Beatris Martinez, Thursday evening. Dancing and parlor games were enjoyed by all the guests.
