Office Pilots Navigation Company, Savannah, July 6, 189*5.—At a meeting held this day, the following report was unanimously adopted: ’Savannah, Oa., July 6. 1896.-To the Pilots' Navigation Company: Your com- i mittec beg leave to submit the following report on the death of the late Capt. T.M. Fleetwood:**Wheroag, It has pleased God to remove from the scene of his earthly labors our associate and friend. Capt. Thomas Madison Fleetwood, late treasurer of this company; be ItResolved, That by the death of Capt. Fleetwood the Pilots' Navigation Company has lost an able and trusted officer, one who was always prompt and faithful In the discharge of every duty entrusted to him. He was a man of sound and conservative views, and hts opinion, Judgment and advice were most valuable to his associates la conducting the business In which they were Jointly Interested.As a citizen, he commanded the respect of all who knew him. lie was devoted to his native city arid felt an absorbing interest in every measure that tended to advance Its prosperity. In every station to which he was called during his life, Capt. Fleetwood did his duty, and no man could have done .MliAs an officer of this company and as a citizen of Savannah, his death will create a vacancy that It will be difficult to till.Resolved, That as a testimonial of respect to our deceased friend, this report be placed upon a separate page of the minutes of the company, and published in the Morning News, and a copy transmitted to his bereaved family.
