Phillip Guetoff has been pastor of St. Mary’s parish, solemn high mass was held Sunday morning at 8 o’clock. At this time Rev. Guetoff resigned as pastor at the age of 82 years. His assistant, Rev. Joseph Hammes, of the past 10 years was appointed pastor, and he and Vernon Rosenthal assisted the celebrant with the morning's ceremony. Rev. Hammes will be appointed an assistant to care for the Lake county sanatorium anil infirmary. He will be sent to the local priest’s home the latter part of this month, by Bishop John Francis Noll. An elaborate celebration is planned for this fall by the local parish when Bishop Noll can be present.Mrs, W. F. Houk received word on Tuesday of the death of her cousin, George Hamer of Philadelphia. LaValle and daughter Jeanne of Indianapolis. The visitors accompanied the local couple to the senior Sirois home near Shelby on Tuesday for a family reunion.Mrs. W F\ Houk received the Sad word of the death of her cousin, Georg g Harner of Philadelphia.The following families enjoyed a Fourth of July picnic in a wooded spot near town on Tuesday: Man-ford Fattees, Arthur Letsingera, Lowell Helds, Daniel E.
