COLE BROS, CIRCUS COMINE TO ClPimWith the arrival in Helena of Jerome Harriman contracting agent of I tlie Cole Bros, circus, arrangements have been completed with the city officials and local merchants for the parade and exhibitions of this old-tVme favorite in Helena, on July23.Mr. Harriman carries letters from chamber of commerce organizations,major and city clcrks of variouscities where the show has exhibited this season, endorsing the entertainment offered, and commenting on high-class personnel of the organization. in many instance*, welcoming the show back at its earliest convenience.He i« very emphatic in bis denial I that circus parades have been abandoned. and claims that while one cir-I cus is too 'tingy to give a street pa* radc. hi? managers have taken the opposite view and have increased the street pageant of the Cole Bros, circus until now it i« the largest one in existence: they figure the parade I is the «how window of the exhibi* I tion. with exactly the same oHject in view that causes a merchant to dis-I plav his wares. Another object ofthe parade is to give joy to many poor children whose onlv glimpse of the world’s wonder* is the time-honored circus procession; all dens and cages are wide open, so that all may see the manv animals from everv* •-clime; five brass bands dispense real music, along with the largest steam calliope ever constructed, while 20 clowns furnish the comedv.At the circus grounds, after the parade, the visitors are entertained, while waiting for the doors to open at 1 :00 o’clock, after which, an inspection of the menagerie is in order; practicallv every known jungle animal is represented, also manv denizens of the Arctic regions, tlie entire collection of 400 beasts being a complete education in animal-land. At 2 p. m., and £ p. m.. the performances start and from the opening spcctaclc to the closing overture, the air. the rings and the track are filled with acrobats, aerialists. clowns and performing animals of all kinds, accompanied by one of the best bandsin circusdom.Mr. Harriman saws Cole Bros, cir-cus is the only large organization booked into this territory this season ; also there are none scheduled within 40 miles of this city, and that his show will positively parade and exhibit here on the date above mentioned, whether rain or shine. The parade is a 11 a. m The doors openat 1 and 7 p. m.
