Mentor Ave„ Pasadena.Mayo's Band, presented by impresario Bay Bowman, will give two dilterenl shows at anti 10:30 p.m.Made up of standout Mexiean-American jazz musicians from the LA. area Mayo's Band is a dream come true for leader Mayo Tiana. a well-known trombone player and arranger.Featured in the band’s brass section are trumpet and flu gel hum players John Madrid. Bob Lova, Marcos Cabuto and Alex RodriguezConcertswilli Dave Rinaklu, till Olvera, Dana Hughes and Tiana on trombones.The band's saxophone and flute sec I ion, includes Anthony Ortega, Bill Baker, Larry CoveMi, Ray Bajorguez and Tony Garcia.Pianist Marly Rosen, bassist Frank De La Rosa and John Perell on drums round out the band's rhythm section.Various members of iUayos Rand have worked with such famous names as Louie Be I Ison. Willie Bobu. Los Brown, Ray Charles, Don Ellis, Maynard Ferguson, Ella Fitzerald. Lionel Hampton, Woody Herman, Harry James, Quincy Jones, Stan Kenton, Bill Medley. Perez Prado, Buddy Rich and Gerald Wilson.
