The Dolton volunteer fire department’s annual carnival opened Thursday night at Main park, 147th and Evers. It will continue today and tomorrow, with a kiddie parade today and the traditional Independence day paradeand fireworks tomorrow.In the top photo, youngsters get a chance to mimic adult behavior on the Calumet expressway at the Bump-em cars ride. The Hurricane, at right, offers a dizzy view of the park. Below, the Tilt-a- lt;Vhirl is an annual favorite of the strong-stomach set. At the bottom,firemen work one of the game booths.
