Las Vegas Ambassadors Off On Trip To TokyoSeventeen members of the Las Vegas Ambassadors, a local singing troupe of school children have left for a 10-dav trip to Tokyo where they will entertain the Lion’s Club International Convention — hopefully to encourage m?nv convention-ers to come to the Lions 1971 convention here.The youths will be chaperoned by Mr. and Mrs. Howard Kohl, parents of one of the Ambassadors. Acting manager ofthe Las Vegas Convention Bureau John Goodwill, who gave the troupe $7,500 from his promotional fund to help finance their trip, will accompany them for the same purpose.Norman Kaye, the Ambassadors’ musical director, said the group raised $20,000, mostly from contributions by hotels and private individuals, to pay their way. The directors are not going, and the Kohls have paid ther own way, said Kaye.
