BOF C. U. AID SOCIETIES OF THE RAY'S CROSSING AND BLUE RIDGE CHURCHES — MEETING AT BLUE RIDGE.The second annual Joint meeting ot the AM Societies of the Ray’s Crossing and Blue Ridge C. U- churches was held Thursday at Blue Ridge. The meeting was a great success. About seventy ladies were present and over twenty guests from Ray's Crossing were entertained by the hospitable Blue Ridge ladies.An excellent program was render-er at the churches by the BlueRidge ladies and children, following which a delightful social hour was enjoyed at the Blue Ridge parsonage. Here Rev. aud Mrs. 0. J. 'McMullen entertained all to a delightful social hour.Contests were indulged In, all ofwhich were won by ladies from Ray's Crossing. The contests consisted of a penny contest, a dag search and a telegram contest.The large, well shaded lawn was delightfully cool and excellent refreshments were served by the hosts. All present enjoyed one of the most delightful social events of the year. The Ray’s Crossing ladies will have the meeting next year.
