The play is by Philo Higley and Philip Dunning is the second in a series of productions featuring the L. Chamberlain Brown Players and presented by Brown, Hope and Company.e star and leading members of the cast, including eight children, are commutting from New York for nightly performances at 8:40 o’clock and Wednesday and Saturday afternoons at 2:30. Supporting this group made up largely of players from the original cast will be members of the permanent company which last week presented “The Night of January 16 th” with notable success.An all-star cast already is rehearsing the play chosen for the week of July 6, “The Distaff Side” by John Van Druten.The Bronxville company feels fortunate in having as their guestMiss Gillmore, one of Broadway’smost distinguished actresses, according to Adele Blood Hope, vice-president.Last seen in “Ethan Frome” at the National Theatre, New York, Miss Gillmore will make only two more appearances this summer: later in July with the Langners at Westport, Conn., and in August at Ogonquit, Maine.
