FORMER CHAMPSTHIS GROUP IIAI) much to talk over when they met here recently for the 50th reunion of the Washington High School class of 1917. They are members of the basketball team which won the Southeast Iowa title in 1917 and were also state champions in the day before state tournaments. Left to right are Willa Gibson Freshwaters, Anita Richards Peck, Coach Russ M. Vigquain, Gladys Bernoskie Smith, Margaret Bauer Yoorhees and Ruth Pierce Blick. Also a member of the team was one junior in 1917, Xita Wehr Ross.
