Holiday Eyocrsion,-There will be a 4th of July excursion to th e Palisades on Friday, July 2,18S0. T;iiswill afford an opportunity no.t to beenjoyed again perhaps in a lifetime, viz.,to celebrate the grand old 4th on the 2d. The programme of exercisesat the Palisades wi be as follows:Patriotic singing; reading of the Declaration of Independence; an oration by Rev. M. R. Drury, oil tills city, and a general basket picnic, The excursion will be under the direction and management of the Dairy Dale Sunday School. The steamer Whippoorwill, which is to carry the party, will be appropriately decorated for the occasion. Good music and refreshments furnished on the boat and at the Palisades. Face for the round trip only thirty-five cent3. Secure your tickets early to be sure of passage, as only alimited number will be sold- Don’t forget that the boat will leave the landing at the James street bridge at 8 o’clock A. M. '
