Thornsley, 715 Fair-i view.Before a scenic background of h a n d-pamted facsimilies of poster-size sheet music covers and an outdoor scene, six flashily-dressed end men went through their buffoonery and pranks, including shooting crows flying over the well-dressed 4B-voice chorus. |The audience gave enthusiastic reception to Warsaw’s version of “Tiny Tim,” stomping and whistling approval at his effeminate rendition of “Tiptoe Through The Tulips.” For an encore, he bowed and twisted awkwardly through, “AH I Want is f50j Million Dollars.”The sound of Nashville received enthusiastic response evidenced by calling Keith Carpenter, who sang “Autumn of My Life,” back for an encore of “Please Release Me.” Also, the Tammy Wynette hit, “Stand By Your Man,” done by Mrs. Bonnis Kent, who sounded remarkably like the famed recording star, received long applause.Other solo numbers getting good response were “I Ain’t Got Nobody,” done by end-man Robert Jonard and “Second Hand Rose,” interpreted Barbra Streisand - style by D e b b y Culbson.Outstanding instrumental numbers were a banjo medley by a trio made up of Don and Gordon Starts and Clyde Darr and a guitar solo by Elbert Quick.One of the most humorous acts occurred during the chorus number, “By the Sea,” when eight men, dressed as bosomy bathing beauties in wigs and beruffled knit bathing suits, danced their way across the stage with beach balls.Another dance routine adding zest to the show was that done by the River View majorettes to “Thoroughly Modern Millie.”Outstanding chorus numbers closed both portions of the show. They were “What’s More American,” and “America, Our Heritage.”
