E. Church, last Wednesday evening.The Rod Men of this place, went en-mass to Worthington last Tuesday. We are led to believe the town was “painted red,” and the air was reverberant with the “war whoop.”The children, as well as tbe older people, should benr in mind that there is Sunday school at the Baptist church, every Sunday morning at ten o'clock, and every Sunday afternoon at halfpast-two in tbe M. E. church.Poor old Jim, the faithful watch dog at the Formers’ store, met with a very painful accident last Tuesday. He was with some boys who were hunting, and a gun was accidently discharged, tbe shot entering one of the dog’s fora feet. He has many warm friends who sympathize with him in bis uflliction.Died, at the residence of her son, Mr. Parris Gray, Jan. 23rd, Mrs. Mary G. Gray, aged 86 years. Deceased had been an iuvalid for eev eral years. The funeral service was conducted at the houae Sunday morning, at ten o'clock, after which a large concourse of friends followed tbe remain* to their last resting place iii the family burial ground.Moke Anon.
