St. Valentine Day Dance SponsoredaBy Rosary AltarBy Betty SothIf you should see Lucille Bros-sard running round with an armful of red paper hearts and Pauline Doyle with a couple of cupids^* think nothing of it. They are on their way to St. Christopher hall to decorate the gym for the St. Valentine Ball, Lucille, general chairman. Pauline is in charge of Decorations.This event promises to be one of the largest affairs ever sponsored by the women of the Rosary Altar Society. Coming just before Lent is another assurance of suc-t^ss. Other members of the society, with a h earts-and-flo werslook, are Mrs. Kaspar Gach, wardrobe; Mrs. Robert Foose; cards and bunco; Mrs. Harry Hartman, refreshments; Mrs. Lee Scheidel, tickets. Mrs. Steven Bauer, Jr. chairman of the king and queen contest. Crowing of these young people will be one of the highlights of the evening. Contestants will receive votes by ballots,given with each paid admission.The teenagers of St Christ-a non-sectarian organization, of over 200 youngpeople, meet every Monday in the school gym. Here they will selectcandidates for the King and Queen of H earts.The Youth Club is one of the many ways the community profitsfrom St. Christophers.Tickets were mailed to all parishioners and any one wishing to attend the dance may secure tickets from his neighbor or at the door for $1.00 each, and obtain ballots for their favorite boy andgirl.
