PREPARATIONS COMPLETED | FOR SOUTH FLORIDA FAIRAll preparations have been practically completed for the South Florida Fair and Gaaparilla Carnival, to bo hold at Tampu. February 4 to 12. with an extension of one day for the benefit of the Negroes of the section, and (feature* of both fair and carnival will bo superior to any hitherto presented In the South.Extremely low rnt*H are offered by railroads and stenmBhlp lines from point* east of the Mift*i*Hlppi rlvor. also some points west, and passenger ugents of these lines predict that thousands of homesecker* und tourists will be brought to the city and section. Even lower rates will be offered from points in Florida, and Tampa la prepared to care for a larger number of visitors than have been aeon iu a Florida city before.Florida's Groauwt Fair.That this will be Florida's greatest product fair la guaranteed by the fuct that fourteen South Florida counties will be represented by general exhibits. while community rind individual exhibits will he sent from other counties. Exhibits are also expected from the Island of Cuba. Hix exhibition buildings. Including a mainbuilding of brick, nearly 600 feet in length, have been erected on the fair grounds by the City of Tampa and ! lt;h«* Fair Association. and although \ these have exhibit spuce of 76.000, square feet, every Inch has been taken.Every product known to South Florida will be shown and the array of exhibits will be one of great variety and beauty. The buildings are the most attractive ever erected In Florida for exhibition purposes.Fine Amusement Feature*.There will bo presented on tlio fairgrounds, which are behind th* municipally owned Tumpa Bay Hotel, and within a three-mlmito walk of the principal buslnc** street of ths city.1 the most up-to-date amusement attractions yet brought south of the MuHon and Dixon line. Many of these will be free attractions, presented en* h afternoon In front of the large grand* i stand, before which fast harness and running races ulao will be run. Scores of fast horses have been brought to Tampa for these race*, but no gambling will be allowed In connection therewith. Furthermore, the sale of Intoxicating liquors on and near the ground* will not be tolerated, nor will an even slightly offensive amusement feature be tolerated in thef Thrilling Aviation Flights. #Spectacular loop-the-loop flights will be made in an aeroplane by A. C. Beach. America’s most daring aviator, who will also illustrate the use of aeroplanes in wur. The destruction of a large fort will be a feature.
