THE A TER——■■A | ■■■■ ■ ■ ■ ——ORPHEUMThere have been stronger bills at the Orpheum than that of this week, which is more of compliment to the class of the house than derogatory of the present attraction. The program carries one genuine feature in the sketch by Frank Nelson and company, a strong dramatic bit very handsomely produced. .For those who understand and like Italian opera the Royal Quartet adds a classic tone to the. bill. Goldsmith andHoppe have a quaint bit ofmusical specialty comedy, being two of the few who can get anything like music out ' of asaxaphone. Miss May Boley is a clever impersonator, but she slanders a poor type of the store girl that never holds a job long enough to be noticeable. Borani and Nevaro have something classy in comedy acrobatics, the feminine member of the team slighting none of the fancy work, and they’ve got a great little dog. TschernofTs circus is a pretty fair exhibition of animal training, considering the number of animals handled on the stage. Mack and Marcus do some lightning offhand drawing of comic types and female heads. The theater orchestra is an important feature of the bill this week, especially in its rendition of Italian music.
