Little Moreen Foote then gave a pleasing recitation, and thefamiliar “Scottish Blue Bells was ren-denered by Mrs. K. F. Horst, Miss Al-lavena Huellmantel accompanying her. Miss Moxelle Bennett followed with aHjp.rwell rendered violin solo which was received with much applause. A duet, When Von Go Awn’ Jamie,” was then rendered by Miss Albena Dion and Daniel Loudon, which was promptly encored ami they were forced to return and repeat its sweet melody. Miss Mildred Pfannenschmidt gave two reci tat ions then. “The Bairns Cuddle Doon and “Prepara Ruse” which were recited in a pleasing manner. Mrs. K. E. Horst then followed with anothersolp, Sing Me to Sleep,” which was enjoyed by the large audience. The familiar Scotch descriptive poem. “The Death Ridge of the Tay. was rendered by Miss Ethel Slater in a way to call forth much favorable com mendation and this was followed bythe culmination of the evening’s entertainment, a military drill in Scotchcostume of sixteen little girls who. with accurate precision marched through evolutions of a military drill worthy of exponents of the art itself. Their careful drilling was under the direction of Lieut. Joseph Klaasen. the martial music being furnished by Ray Magnan. and Miss Inez Moblo, andthey were repeatedly recalled. MissAlbena Dion was then placed on theprogram for another solo, rendering The Bells of Time very sweetly.Dr. A. H. Holliday then appeared forft number, his selection fc a Scotch ballad being the lament of the Highlander for their “Bonnie Prince Charlie” and the song accompanied byProf. K. E. Horst on the violin and Mrs. A. H. Holliday, was the vocal gem of tht' evening. So constant was the applause that Dr. Holliday returned and announced that the next best man to a Scotchman is an Irishman and then proceeded to sing in dialect with perfect enunciation and art an Irish ballad, “The Irishman'Toast.”Mi'-f- Wilhelmina Shane then recited the comic tale of the ModernLochavar. which, was enthusiastically
