High Ave., New Philadelphia, and safety divers Carl Graves, 118 Betscher Ave., Dover, and Jack Dempster, RD 1, Dennison, conducted their “experiment” in 34 degree water temperature. The pin was 40-feet deep and the ice 10 inches thick.Divers who were initiated for the first time in this unusual winter activity were Homer Schwab, 1120 N.
