White, the accomplished daughter of Mrs. Joeie White,gave a most delightful socia1 Saturday evening from 7 until 11:30 o'clock at her home on Smith’s Creek just east of town. Many new and amusing games were introduced and heartily enjoyed by all present.The color scheme was red and each guest was presented with a red bow of ribb n. In the state guessing contest J. Owen '■'Long was awarded first prize, which was a pound box of bon bons. Walter Rhodes received the booby prize. A fnit supper was served in the dining hall from 10:30 to 11 o’clock.I Among those present were MissesFlorence Kcontz, Bessie Long,Sallio Martz, Annie Laurie Koontz, Jennie White, Hannah Martz, Totsy White, Virginia Ear man and Maria Moore, of near Harrisonburg; Nannie Yancey, of Yancey; Mes-dames Georgie Seilers and Walter Rhodes; Messrs. Walter Sellers, Arch Brock, Ira Long, Will Myers, J. Owen Long, Rube Myers, William Koontz, Ernest Myers, Baw White and John Earman, of nearHarrisonburg; Solon Moore, New Market; Oscar Thomas, St. Joseph, Mo.; William Sellers and Walter Rhodes.. Mr. and Mrs. S. O. Bowman, of near Harrisonburg, were visiting Miss Saliie Allebaugh last Friday.Garber Garber, of Harrisonburg, were here on business last Friday.: Didawlek and Fadeley have or-| dered 15 more barrels for this crop’s cutting of cress.!
