Fairfield Happy Hour Club Meets The Fairfield Happy Hour club held its January meeting recently at the home of Mrs. Gerald Boitnott with Mrs* Loren Alderson as assistant hostess. Mrs. Will Hanson, chairman, presided at the meeting. Roll cali was answered by'giving a New Years resolution. Mrs. James McFadgen county home economist, ■ gave. an .Interesting talk on Legal Affairs of Interest fo Women. Mrs. Lester Frederick was in charge of recreation. Twenty eight women and five children were present at the meeting. Lunch was served at the close of the meeting by the hostess.The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Lester Larson.William Hamilton, Jr., U.S.N.,has written his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Hamilton of near Emmetsburg, that he spent Christmas in Naples, Italy, and has visited Rome two days. He is serving aboard a cargo attack ship and has visited Malta and •North Africa on a Mediterranean cruise.His cousin, Leo Hamilton Jr., . son of Mr. and Mrs.' -Leo Hamilton of Emmetsburg, has been accepted for submarine duty at Norfolk, Va.„ he has written his parents. He was one of a very few of a.large number of applicants who passed the stiff tests for the submarine service. Both boys enlisted in the navy last fall.
